Hi guys I'm looking for my next mantids I am thinking of a small species for my exo terra nano which is 20cm deep and wide and 30cm high. I also have a 36cm long 22cm wide and 24 cm high exo terra faunarium. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I was thinking of pseudocreobotra whalbergii but I'm not sure if they can feed on just crickets and possibly some meal worms. That's from Tom

I love the pseudocreobotra whalbergii !!! You can feed them mealworms but i dont know about crickets. one of mine got sick because i just fed him crickets. try to some flying insects.

Nymph----------------------------> Older nymph----------------------> subadult-------------------------------------> Adult

Drosophila melanogaster Drosophila melanogaster Medium mealworms Crickets (optional)

Very small moths Drosophila hydei House Flys Blue Bottle flys

Small Mealworms Moths Mealworms

Very small moths

This is all i ever fed my pseudocreobotra whalbergii.

Good luck!

In England i find it quite hard to source flying insects during the winter but in the summer months I can just go out into my garden and collect some. Would that be ok if I fed crickets and mealworms as a main food source and then supplemented him/her with flies in the summer but not in the winter from tom
