Litaneutria ocularis Saussure, 1892 species treatment finalized
Nymphs may be found from mid-May to late September. Maturation requires approximately 3.5 months for nymphs to develop over a series of 6-7 molts that occur every 15-21 days, depending on nutritional intake. Final instar may continue for 34 days before final molt. Nymphs of all ages are active predators, as they run about in short spurts and scramble toward prey items in a jerky manner rather than waiting ambush style for prey to cross their path.
