I would just like to remind the members here to take the time before buying ooths or mantis here to read their feedback.

This hopefully will save you a lot of heartache from being scammed.
Remember when someone on here sells you something, you have every right to leave feedback be it good or bad.  This will help the next guy too.

Since most people use paypal, it is also good to remember paypal has a 180 day period where you can open a dispute. One of the reasons scammers do what they do is because too many people don't realize their options and the scammers make enough profit to keep at it.

Is that option available even if you use the friends and family option so you can avoid paying the fee?

There is no fee, but there is also no buyer protection if you send money using the friends and family option. So choose your friends and family carefully. 😀

Why are we discussing this? 🤔
So that people can be warned to check feedback before they buy, and if they are buying from someone with no feedback or bad feedback then they will use the option that allows them to possibly get their money back if they don’t get their merchandise.

Selling stuff via friends and family is a good way to get your account closed since it is against paypal rules. The seller pays the fee so there should be zero incentive for buyer to give up all their protections.

I have gotten burned many times and just want others to be careful. If you sell as family and friends and they are not

you are #1 lying, 2 you may be flagged by paypal for the irs to put their eyeballs in your stuff, and 3 yes, u have no recourse if

they scamm you. Hey you old guys, remember when we had the one guy sell a bunch of insulation foam oothecas as Idolomantis

ones? they were so real like it was unreal!
