European Mantis vs Mediterranean Mantis

Hi!

In Las Vegas I have seen two male Mantids. I’m having a hard time identifying them. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the scientific names are...

Iris oratoria - Mediterranean Mantis

Mantis Religiosa - European Mantis

The two look so similar! Would anyone be able to tell me the differences in traits??

The mantids are about 2 inches long as males, green slender body, wings patterned almost zebra striped when open. Hints of yellow and red on raptors. 

Do they have a black and white spot on the inside of each raptor?

White! Just white dots

You have iris oratoria then. Mantis religiosa have a large black dot with white in the middle on each forearm.
