It's debatable. If given plenty of room and lots (lots) of food, they can live much of their life communally. In the past I've kept a few together in one enclosure from nymph to adult without any problems... but they were all male. A veteran keeper has now told me that the females will need to be removed as they mature.

I don't recommend keeping them communally since there is some disagreement. I'm going to house this batch together and see what happens, sans females.
