Hello everyone! My R.Basalis mated a while ago and I've been waiting on some ooths! I was wondering what everyone else's experience with this species was when it comes to WHEN (approximately) the first ooth was laid. I was also wondering about how much I should feed her? I've been seeing people say to feed her tons is this true, in terms of crickets as a unit of measurement how many should I be feeding, and what kind of intervals should I be thinking of?

I care for them same as before. I would give her two a day or give her one and something else. I dont really like feeding crickets, try some of my blue bottle flies.

I would not feed crickets, they could hurt the mantis or they could carry deseases. roaches will do fine or grasshoppers. Not a fan of flies because we had a fly problem last year at home. fed a bunch of them to my mantids if I could catch them alive ( free food ) But was very annoying.
