@Matthewcmcginn If she hasn't laid an ootheca already, she might lay one soon. Give her plenty of sticks and places to crawl on and she'll choose the right spot.

I know who this seller is, I would never buy or recommend buying from them. Try to get your money back asap, file a PayPal claim. There are excellent sellers out there, make sure to research very well before buying from anyone. Facebook mantis groups are less restrictive about discussions...

Females are ready in about three weeks. I feed mine to keep them really plump and just watch for calling. 

I'm glad they molted ?. As you how often you should feed them, I usually feed my females until their abdomen is fairly full. The males tend to do well with small meals every 3 days or so. It might be a little late for you to mate them, since females will take a little while to mature, and males...

It sounds like they're getting ready to molt. Remove the flies and hopefully they molt within a few days ?.

 Aww, did he molt ok? I've had mantids have poop stuck on their butts before. I just use a damp cotton swap to gently wipe it off and increase their water intake. Hopefully your mantis molted fine ?.

If she can reach it, she'll remove it herself. She should be able to molt just fine if the leg isn't too crooked. I've had them molt fine with only two good legs to grip. If she is unable to reach it, just get a damp cotton swap and try wiping it off. Good luck ?.
