Hey @Jaunte! Sorry for this late reply. Yes, prey aggression typically. This translates easily into cannibalism. An aggressive mantis is more likely to strike at you, but as a nymph, it cant really do much. Youll learn quickly how to best handle it so it stays calm.

Deroplatys sp are notorious to hanging on to oothecae as long as they can, in waiting for a mate. You can often mate one and shell drop an ooth same-night. You have this working against as-is you if she's unmated.
Place clean paper towel underneath her to see if she's dropping...

Orchid males live 4+ months. Just keep them low 70s and feed a fly every 4 or 5 dahs. Let your female catch up.
