    gongylus and locusts

Well i know with Tarantulas it is said that feeding locusts is bad because the tarantula uses up more energy eating it than what they actually gain back from the locust....may be the same with mantids.

    Waxworms

Waxworms are high in fat and are very rich. I believe thery're better fed to different species of flower mantids than others. I wouldnt feed waxworms as a staple diet though to any mantid, you need to keep changing it because in the wild they wont stick to to one source of food.

    Lime green mantid nymphs

Lime Green mantis scientific name is Taumantis Sigiana, i believe they are partially parthogenesis (spelling is wrong) in breeding which means they dont have to be mated to produce offspring but will only produce females.

    under viv heater

It also better to put the heat mat on the side of the tank rather than underneath depending on what the tank is made of. You need to make sure there is an air flow past the mat, otherwise it can either crack the glass or melt the plastic... trust me, i've seen in many times at work.

    Webpage directory

Completely agree... Most of the time ideas to improve these forums are quickly booted out because they claim to be un-needed. I dont see why we can't keep improving the features on these forums to make it better and better... Why stick with a basic site...

    BTS...who's going?

So the British Tarantula Society show is this Sunday in Wednesbury, West Midlands. Is anyone here going to be going? I've not been to the BTS before...how does it compare to other shows? Which traders can we expect to be there? I might be going but i'm still undecided. Jackson
