I was thinking of a 12x12x12 for a ghost mantis or and orchid mantis but I don’t know if thats too big
 
Welcome! There was another person from North Carolina post here on the Introduce Yourself forum recently. I am from North Carolina, too.

way too big IMO. maybe if you had Macromantis or Hierodula but there's also Odontomantis, who despite being diminutive need a LOT of space or they stress out and die! I have mating pairs of these cuties right now!
