No kidding! I wouldn't mess with flies if I didn't have to! Fruit salad for everybody!

The wasp mimics are native to my state-- I've been on the lookout since I heard of them a couple years ago. I was interested in raising them, but the larvae are parasitic and feed off spider eggs I think. Definitely interested in them though and soooo cool looking!

Great news!!! I just got home and found she had finally laid an ooth (sorry for potato quality picture)! I think between changing up the enclosure, upping RH%, and pairing her with a male did the trick. Thank you again everyone!!!

Thank you @Little Mantis. My male was connected to her for about three hours, then i found him off of her, as far away from her as possible. She has been wandering around her new enclosure a little bit, but still no ooth.

Apparently word is getting out that mantises are now a danger to your humming birds and to kill any mantises on sight unless you want all your hummingbirds dead.
