The ooth was laid on 9/17/19, and it’s been about 5 months and no nymphs have hatched yet...could the eggs be possibly dead(dried up, molded, etc)?

I think some haania sp. moss mantids also hunt like this, they seem to have the abnormal spine arrangement on their forelegs too

Sorry about that, hopefully the rest do ok! I read in orin’s book that the nymphs cannot ever be allowed to hang upside down and need to stay flat or vertical. 

In terms of the mishappen ooth, I have also had unmates females lay perfectly normal looking ooths that never hatched. Sometimes ooth will just naturally be deformed, especially if they’re laid in awkward positions or if they’re disturbed while laying. I once had a ghost female that had half of...

I don’t have aphids but I have a ton of fungust gnats, if it helps. Will they take melanogaster even at L1? Would it help to get a springtail culture?

I plan on getting a springtail culture started and going back to fruit flies if they reach L4; would this work?

I read in orin’s book that the first instar nymphs are really small and will need springtails or Firebrat larvae. They should come on Wednesday or Thursday, but the ooths apparently take forever to hatch. 

I am hoping to get some of these but their tiny size intimidates me and I was told that I need springtails as a first food source. Does anyone have experience with this species?

Yeah, I misted her daily and made sure to provide extra humidity the night before. 

Ah, that sucks...this was the fourth mismolt that I had, I think I may need to try this all over again...

Yet another mismolt. This is supposed to be a subadult pnigomantis, is it possible that she’ll be able to make it to adulthood? I think I might give up this species and try a smaller species, as this is the fourth mismolt that I had to deal with. 

L5 male and I don’t have enough space. Would prefer breeding pairs/groups of ghosts if possible, but I’m looking for any small species in general. Also have a spare subadult pnigomantis male available

I ask because it seems like my subadults already have fattened wingbuds, and my females are still presub. I’ve kept them under a heat lamp and have tried to feed them as much as possible but they still won’t molt. 

Definitely ready to breed. Saw her pheromone calling just now so she’s definitelt ready. Would prefer trade.
