    Storage Bin Housing

I think you have to make those yourself. Just buy a bunch of small rubbermaid bins and cut out the lids and hot glue in window mesh fabric.

    Missing leg

Ok, checked up on both and it looks like for at one of the females her body is slightly slanting in one direction and she can’t really hold her raptorial forelegs tightly up to her thorax like all the others. It isn’t terribly noticeable, so do you think she’ll be able to make it to the next molt?

    Weird scab after molt

Thanks, and pnigomantis. She seems to be doing ok and even took down a roach, despite having a slightly slanted body shape.

    Window screening safe for mantids?

What about fiberglass mesh? I just used it for the majority of my mantids and now I’m having doubts

    Favorite mantis species?

Polyspilota aeruginosa. Almost like chinese mantids but a bit bigger and way more robust. Bottomless appetites and they had a wide range or colors as well, from reddish brown to almost turquoise.

    Weird scab after molt

One of my other mantids molted and I saw this weird scab-looking thing. Should I be concerned? It seems like now all of my mantids are going through molting problems of some sort and I don’t know why.

    Window screening safe for mantids?

It’s multi purpose but it’s mainly described as window mesh.

    Window screening safe for mantids?

Is it safe to use it straight out of the package?

    Window screening safe for mantids?

I got some Adfors Saint-Gobain fiberglass mesh, is t safe for mantids? Do I need to cure it or can I use it right away?

    Window screening safe for mantids?

I need some sort of surface for larger mantids to hold onto when they molt. I had 2 mismolts within less than a day because both mantids fell.

    Window screening safe for mantids?

I don’t have access to any fiberglass mesh atm so I’ll try aluminum, but I’ll definitely get some asap.

    Window screening safe for mantids?

I’ll keep that in mind; how is the aluminum bad for the tarsi?

    Window screening safe for mantids?

The brand is Adfors aluminum window screening; it’s some sort of aluminum mesh for screen doors I think. Would this be safe for mantids? I remember a while back I used it for my ants and they did fine, and I noitce that some sellers use some sort of metal mesh on their lids. I haven’t used it...

    Missing leg

Good point! I checked up on her and she seems to be doing ok as of now. Also I was under the impression that in order foe them to obtain moisture you’d need to mist them so they can lick the water off of their bodies but I was probably wrong.

    Missing leg

Ok, so the other female double shield that I thought wasn’t going to molt just molted and now it looks like every other one of my mantids are about to molt. I must admit I’m a bit overwhelmed if they’ll mismolt and I’m really hoping nothing bad will happen. However for her, I didn’t think that...
