    Mite Removal

    MItes usually won't harm mantis. If the problem become worse, you can try to use predatory mites. These feed ferociously on mites only and is also used as biological control for pest mites on agriculture.

    Having trouble getting D. lobata to mate

    This species needs some patience and luck when it comes to mating. Most of the time, male doesn't approach the female immediately but rather taking their own sweet time or flee as soon as the larger female is on his sight. The male appears to be very wary about the pairing for a good reason...

    Orchid Mantis

    From my experience I have never seen any orchid mantis deposit ooth on a stick, usually on flat surface instead, as long as the female has a good grip on the surface.

    The one on the left is likely Stagmomantis limbata, while the on the right is Iris oratoria.
