Most grasshoppers don't fight. They give up soon. That is what I have seen with my grasshoppers

No grasshopper ever damaged my mantids. If you afraid that can happen,.you can remove the back legs before feeding

Don't feed your mantids crickets. I lost mantids to that and it is sad how they got sick from it. use grasshoppers or dubia roaches instead.

hehe, I got photoshop working again. (y)Time for a pic of consuela: here she is having her dinner: a juicy grasshopper. Consuela is not a big eater for a female mantis. All the mantids (females) I have had before were stomachs om 6 legs. Laid very late a small infertile ooth.

I still have 1 mantis: consuela en 4 hissing roaches. I keep it with 1 or 2 mantids at a time, because hubby still dont understand the hobby.

My dubias got grains, fish food and salads , Same stuff like my grasshoppers get.

I love hierodulas, ghost mantids, creobrothers, panther mantids, I love everything that is a mantis really.

I have had a lot of mantids after this one. I have never seen  any ofthem doing the same like folding itself bij cleaning abdomen

My girl is no longer green she has changed her color since her last molt. She is not big eater like Cara was. The grashopper is still alive. I should take a new pic to show her color
