    RIP yankeeman1421

he never told me he was autistic! he knew I was so I'm not sure why that never came up. I got some help as a child but also had a lot of really bad things happen to me that really stifled my social development. I'm not going to go too deeply into that on this thread but my social skills are...

yea no offense but I don't need either of the 2 species you're currently offering. Also if only 3 people get to use that coupon code I'd rather it be some others :)

    Moulting questions

hello! so exactly how long a mantis goes between molts depends on species, temperature, feeding, age, and ***. For example, at warmer temps (up to a certain point), the insect will spend less time between molts. A proper diet will also hasten development, and males tend to spend less time in an...

Ok we need to fix this...

see I was always the "I really don't like killing anything" even though I was really considering killing myself at that age. it's no wonder I became a vegan! oh, speaking of pinning, I need to lyophilize a Creobroter specimen later!

    RIP yankeeman1421

yes. but not one of those cringey ones who only wanted other believers to be in America or who wanted the gays to be executed or who thought autism was a punishment from god or something like that. I miss joking with him about his pancreas :(

Rip Bigsby the female Ghost mantis

I beg to differ on this point I think a good keeper can make a mantis outlive its natural lifespan, but I suspect with the suboptimal conditions 90% of people in this community, ESPECIALLY regarding nutrition, shorten lifespans

I made a key to the Creobroter!

keep in mind that this key isn't perfect there are almost certainly more than 20 species in this genus, and we don't know if everything is a distinct species or a regional variant. the whole group is a mess but I am hoping this will at least help

    Small Odontomantis group

hey folks anyone in the US interested in about a dozen Odontomantis micans i3-4 nymphs? I have some extras and would be willing to let a dozen go for $50 plus shipping. Also open to trades these are charming, sweet little guys who mimic ants for the majority of their lives. They are very active...

    Mantisplace

I did a trade with Rebecca (ok I owe her a few more nymphs but I'm waiting for them to molt first) my end came in. The bottleflies were emerging already (gotta set those up!) which is great and she sent me some wonderfully healthy Hierodula nymphs, although they were a bit older than I expected...
