Eremiaphila are like little matchbox cars

Hmm I can't see the videos. The first one says "No video with supported format and MIME type found", and the second one seems to play but I can only see white.

    Your oldest mantids

@mantisloverguy6000 Wow, that is insanely long. Were they in good health most of that time? @PrayingMantisPets That's crazy, hopefully that isn't a sign of any health issues. Or maybe just a child at heart, "I never want to grow up!"

    Hello everyone!

Welcome to the forum! I also don't really have anyone to share my hobby with here so the forum is a great place to do that.

    Mantids from my collection

Amazing pictures! Would you consider embedding them in your post to make it easier for people to view them? I think more people will get to enjoy them if you do that. :) You can do it by selecting the little arrow for each picture on Imgur > Get share links > BBCode (Forums). If you...

    Your oldest mantids

It is nice that the females can live so long, so that we can enjoy their company for quite a while. :)

    Your oldest mantids

I just had a male ghost pass today at about 11 months old, including 5.5 months as an adult. I've only raised ghosts this one time but it seems like 5.5 months as adult is a long time for a male. The other male died after 2 months as adult. So I am wondering - what are everyone's longest...

I will be camping 14 days

It seems like 6 days would be a bit long for the young nymphs so taking them with you may be the safest, although perhaps a bit inconvenient. Have fun though!

The cycle of life - it continues

Congrats, having nymphs from a beloved mantis seems like a nice way to "keep her around". :)

    Mantis throwing up

It could be due to overeating or a bad feeder, in which case I would stop feeding for a day or two in the hopes that he stops throwing up and feels better. Just make sure he's still getting liquids as needed. If he starts throwing up again after a break from eating, maybe try a new batch of...

I didn't realize my mantis was about to molt!

Males generally don't eat a lot as adults so that may be acceptable. I'm not familiar with that species specifically though. You could also try different prey, such as flies, to see if he shows more interest in that, or otherwise just keep trying once a day with a cricket. Also if you notice...
