Yes she is an adult. I would suggest giving her some grasses in which to climb on within the cage and perhaps attaching some vegetation to the screen lid.- Rick

Sounds like you're looking in the right places. Wait until leaves have fallen off the vegetation which will make it easier.- Rick

Yes normal. Most captive mantids hang from the lid. Mantids are generally sit-and-wait predators so they don't always move much.- Rick
