If done properly heat leads to evaporation before mold can start.

Don't give up just yet. Try increasing the humidity very high and put a heat lamp on wet papertowl. Never spray ooth directly

They are a nusance but they only eat a few of the unborn nymphs. When they emerge in a net cage, I just vacuum them up. Or crush them. The ooth hatches just fine
