    Made it to l3!

@Mantidkid Leave the mantis to dry for at least 24 hours before handling it. They need time to harden their soft exoskeleton.

    Hello from Wisconsin

Yeah, just make sure you provide lots of food. If they don't have food for even a couple of days in a communal setup then you'll have at least one rogue mantis.

@NathanF Welcome! Ghosts are easy to keep and they don't require much room due to their small size and also because they don't really move much. Mantids are fantastic pets, you'll love it.

    I got my first Mantis!

@Mantidkid Like, don't put the fabric on top of the vermiculite, we mean add fabric to the lid so the mantis can molt properly, and add some to the sides so it can grip.

    I got my first Mantis!

@Mantidkid As long as you keep things clean and tidy then the vermiculite shouldn't be a problem. Just do as Kermit says and add fabric.

    Mantis eating vermiculite??

    No problem ?

    Mantis eating vermiculite??

My mantids have grabbed at things thinking it was food several times. They never eat enough to make me worry, they realize right away that it's not food. Mine have eaten fabric, plastic shelving, dirt, paper towel, and plants. Nothing happened to them, I've had to pry stuff from their raptors...

    KevinsWither

I got a pandinus imperator from Kevin a few days ago. Package came very well packed and the little scorpion was well and unharmed. Kevin was very responsive and let me know when it  was shipped. The little thing even molted last night! I would do business with Kevin again. A++

    Adult Orchid Female not eating

@JennMantis wow you've got one picky mantis. Try coating some in organic honey, see if it helps a bit. I would try a fly again then, some mantids are just so picky.
