Hey Thnkz Everyone , Thistles (Blepharopsis) are a long testing endevor , some time you wonder what is next . My Tenoderas and Mio's are great but quite predictable /./ I will endevour to try again ............ S

My L7  Thistle went to the out doors - 2 c.           ,After not eating , hand feeding and basically circling the drain for the last month I had to end her dilemma .....S

I am certain that like myself we have all injured and killed more Mantids with love , caring , opening and closing lids . Don't feel bad ....... S

I have had 4 Blepharopsis just stop eating at the 6/7L instar . Three have died and I have one left that has been hand fed and coxed along . She can grab feeders but seems scared off when she finds them alive. I know that she's starving just seem a shame to almost achieve adulthood ( 7months )...

Had a Miomantis P. hatch a volunteer ooth in my office ,... 

I incubate in a container with paper towel on the bottom and a water container , beside my ceramic heater .  

One thing about buying ooths is that you are immediately a breeder . not just a pet keeper........... S

Yes , definitely ootheca are the only way that I have received my stock , either from the US or Europe.  I feel it is some what safer even if a parcel is delayed ......  S

Mantids are not too difficult to acquire here just need more U.S.A. suppliers to ship North .  That said I have had one package inspected at the border . Winter shipping is a challenge ,   I'm incubating a Mantis Religiosa that we found locally , plenty naturalized here . Just hatched a Tenodera...

We don't get toooo much in the Okanagan Valley .......... S
