    I would think all  mantids could harm their feet , I hot glued fiberglass screen over the top screen . After removing the styro background I hot ge'd the screen all down the rear . It makes for xlnt viewing and goood climbing ... S

    The undiapaused ooth have such a low survival rate , I have one (1) L3 Religiosa nymph that is the lone survivor of an ooth...and only 3 , L4's from an undiapaused Tenodera ooth. Therefore I diapause all of my naturalized mantid ootheca ....  S

    One other odd thing is that I have seen them eating dead fruit flies , not too usual for mantids .

    The Tenodera S. is the only female mantis that I have seen actually fly in a controlled manner . All other species I've bred  Mantis Religiosa included use their wings in quite a limited manner ...   S

    hy logan   Do you know when the ooth was laid ? Or has your ooth been diapaused ?  I have hatched 2 ooth  (not diapaused) this season with extreemly high mortality . The remaining nymphs respond quite differently than others that I have hatched ....S

    Hour 7 of molting

    I have to concur with velve after a certain amount of time (1 hour) the new exoskeleton  will harden into that deformity . I have tried to rescue such a mismoult without success , sorry ............. S

    Water can cause some questions , I started using distilled water in my humidifier to reduce the water scale on my habitats . I found they were clouding up looking kinda ****** after a few days .
