In my area we have both praying mantis and chinese mantis, can they hybridize?

I purchased egg cases and most nymphs were long and light brown, but one egg had nymphs that all had shorter abdomens and were dark brown and not as long, I think I got a mix of mantis religiosa and Chinese mantids but I never saw nymphs apart to tell.

A few emerged from egg case deformed from getting stuck in shed, but can eat. I know if they can grow enough to molt their bodies will repair and they can be set free. I know healthy babies eat fruit flies, but unless I feed them dead ones they can't catch prey. There is also can O crickets...
