    Alexander's Mantids: 2012 - Present

Unfortunately my last female passed away, she was 11 months old. Aaagh... it's a pity. So I know only have a male, I'll most likely sell him to someone who needs a male for breeding.

    Bugsincyberspace.com (Peter Clausen) (US)

My best friend LAME surprised me by making me a Forum Supporter! And so I was sent stuff from Peter. Perfect set up for a young nymph! Coconut fiber, a deli cup with drawer liner glued to the top and a fake plant inside, plus a zip lock bag filled with coconut fiber and some fruit flies (culture...

    MantisKingdom/DeShawn

DeShawn sent me an adult male Idolomantis diabolica, to mate with my girls! I'm very pleased! He came packed with 2 heat packs, and secure in a box (which was in another box). He arrived alive in well, even in Winter, shipped over night. Thanks man! You will be repayed!

    Alexander's Mantids: 2012 - Present

January 17th My adult male Phyllocrania paradoxa, Blaar, died suddenly! He was only an adult for a week. Very disappointing. I have no idea what caused his death. RIP little guy... Hardly got to enjoy you. January 20th Willow (female Idolomantis) reached L6! She got moved into a bigger...

    Desperately need help/Fruit Flies

You can get some fruit, like a banana or apple, put it in an escape free container, fill it up a bit with water. Let it rot, the fruit flies will come. They will be flying ones so it will be hard to transfer them to your mantid but if you are desperate, it's an idea.

They do spread em a little but don't stick em straight up like a Tenodera. Heterodox did the scratchy leg/wing thing a couple times when first seeing Baline, but he stopped after he got used to her lol. I was hoping I could get a video but I missed it!! That's awesome that Quasi is all healed...

Awesome dude, I can't wait to see Q! How is his shield now?? Still improving or does it look the same? Oh and that actually is the full pose! Idolos don't spread their wings like other mantids do. They just use their arms, and if REALLY terrified, will also brush their wings against their leg...
