@Greybeard Adult mantises are easier to take care of than nymphs, at least in my experience with wild European mantises.

@agent A No, where will you mention it? Should I just keep an eye on the classifieds on this forum, or do you have a site or blog I should start checking at? And how long should it take? I don't know how fast nymphs that young grow.

I know that you can make it take longer for a nymph to reach adulthood by messing around with its environment, how often it's fed, etc. (As I've said before, I've learned remarkably little in 5 years. . .) If you do this, does it extend their lifespan or just make it so that a larger percentage...

I like that they're not needy and are fine with spending time alone. Same thing I like about cats. Dogs are just too much for me. I also admire their strength and speed as hunters. If you sized them up a great deal, you would end up with dragons :)

@guapoalto049Thanks. In particular, thanks for reminding me of just how tricky Europeans are. But no, it couldn't have been the food. I was feeding them all out of the same batch. Eh. What you said about Europeans being hard to keep in captivity is quite helpful though :)
