    How I make fruit fly medium!

    Can someone differentiate the two types of yeast for me? When they say "yeast" that is mixed into the medium is it brewer's yeast? And the yeast grains that are sprinkled on top of the mixture and NOT mixed in is the active dry yeast for the flies to eat?

    Chinese mantids are the most common and inexpensive in the hobby. They grow relatively large and have the distinctive mantis look to them. They can also tolerate varying weather conditions and are not very sensitive. Ghost Mantids are pretty interesting as well and easy to maintain.
