Many things can do well over a reasonable range, so if one person says they need 88F and another 70F those are personal experiences. If someone writes a care-sheet he or she often puts what has worked for them. One does not write everything that might possibly work and has ever been experienced.

Mantids need fresh air and if it's moldy in their cage there might not be enough air flow, but if you see a bit of mold it may be too late.
