Hi guys.  Does anyone have any information on how to care for panther mantids? I am looking to get some from my local breeder who has them in stock. I already have expreince with stuff like spinys and thistles so I am not a complete beginner. Thanks. 

Humidity is perfect. Yes an increase in temperature will also help. Try to get it up to 75-80 if you can but don't worry to much.  

I agree with hibisucsmile. Although orchids are a high humidity species, they do not like it wet. This can kill them as mold can grow rapidly. Most likely that it is in premolt if it is swatting food away. What temp are you keeping her at? 

Are waxworms a good treat for mantids. I am thinking about feeding them to my thistles and spinys. I know that they are not a stable food but are they ok occasionally. EG. Like when you are low on flies?

An orchid mantis ( unless you are slowing down a male for breeding) would have real issue at 17c. It would have issues with metabolism and growth. However 26c is not the minimum temperature to keep an orchid and anything from 23-24c upwards would be fine. 

As others have said they are definitely both males as they are small for sub adult and lack the green necklace of females.

When sprayed a bit of condensation is good but should go within a few hours. Don't over do it due to bacteria. Young nymphs like it a little bit drier anyway. 

Adding some additional heat and switching to flying food will help. Sometimes if given in small quantities honey can also benefit them. 

This is generally a sign of mild dehydration, but as the others have said a good spray usually does the trick.
