WANTED: Pre-Sub or Sub-Adult Male Texas Unicorns (Phyllovates chlorophaea)

I know this is a long shot, but I have ladies that need mates. All my males died before I could use them. If you have males going to waste I could use them. If I get them to breed you get an ooth. Will try younger males as well. I'm sure I could speed them along. Successfully bred last season...

    Baby Jumping Spiders

Caught a pair of Tan Jumpers (Platycryptus undatus) on a hike just over a month ago at Slateford Creek Waterfalls in PA. The male was courting the female so I knew they were a pair. I housed them together and got to witness the mating ritual the following day. Not long after the female built a...

    Psychomantis Mamma

Collected the second batch of ooths which is a good sign. Both females bred multiple times by different males. Just waiting for that first hatch to assure me I'll get nymphs. Still, do not think they are prolific enough that I can spare any ooths this generation, though Astyliasula phyllopus...

    Psychomantis Mamma

I will. Also have Heterochaeta orientalis hatching now. Lots of Heterochaeta orientalis coming. 🤩 I don't think I'll be swapping any ooths of this species until I get a stable culture sustained. We'll have to see how well these girls lay, hatch rates and mortality. All a big unknown at this point.

    Psychomantis Mamma

I haven't posted here in forever but had to share this. Breeding Psychomantis malayensis. Two females mated but weren't laying. Got the first to lay with some extra humidity and live plants but second was still holding out. Last night she finally started laying and I thought she'd never stop...

    Something AMAZING has happened...

Awesome! Thank you. I got very lucky catching that footage. She had been hanging from the very top of the enclosure, which is unusual, so I kept an eye out for a molt. The problem with documenting something like this is you need to be able to change the angle to get the camera positioned...
