    A strange method of slowing down growth

    haha yea this method is kinda unethical but it works one of the orchids I received lost its leg at L2, and it grew at a MUCh slower rate than the others

    Had another great transaction with Yen. Everything arrived safely and he threw in an extra once again! The packaging was very well done and the mantids were very cozy with the addition of a heat pack in this cold weather. Always a pleasure.

    most mantids do lay unfertile ooths even without a mate, but the brunners is an exception, they will lay fertile ones, and the nymphs come out as clones as the parent female. i have one right now, and its doing just fine with one misting per day and it's not really picky at eating to sum it...

    Yen did a great job with the packing, the communication and just about everything. All my mantids so far have arrived safely even in the hot weather conditions. And both times he threw in a couple of extras. Thank you Yen!

    When I got home today, my L3 or L4 Chinese mantid was lying on the table. When i gently picked it up, i discovered that it wasnt dead. But it couldnt move its 2 hindlegs, and there was an interesting black internal spot on the 2nd to last segment of the abdomen. It also wouldnt eat moving...
