Does anyone breed the Dragon Mantis species? I've always wanted to raise one or maybe even a pair. If anyone knows where to get one in the U.S. please let me know. I take extremely good care of my pets, so they would be well looked after.
I've kept 3 L4s up to adults together in a 15 gal viv before. They don't move much so they kinda just chose a territory and kept to themselves. Just make sure you have plenty of food available and hand feed them if you feel like they aren't catching anything.
I've replaced like 6-7 tanks with fine mesh that i got from an arts and crafts store for like $5. It's simple, just pull the rubber seal out(sometimes you have to cut it out if its stuck) then just pull the mesh over the lid, slap the rubber seal back in place. Make sure to tug all the sites so...
I placed an order 3 months ago, paid for $40 express shipping and still haven't received even an email from the company. At least let me know whats going on! I'm a patient person but now I'm starting to get frustrated over the whole thing and just want my money back at this point. I wont be...
Hey, if any of you are interested in mantid videos, then check out my youtube channel. I'm gonna make some care guides and projects on how to build your own custom mister/foggers, bio vivs and stuff like that. channel name: mantis life

They look great. I'd highly recommend adding some hydro balls or some sort of water drainage with a false bottom separating the dirt. That way you wont have to worry about mold and your ferns will grow better.
Kermit is the man. Great prices, communication and shipping. Not only that but he took the time to send a proper care guide for the nymphs I purchased. I'd definitely buy from him again.
I've used like 12-24oz clear cups and just covered the tops with soft fine mesh secured with rubber bands. It's easy to mist them that way and its a nice surface for them to molt on. You could toss in some moss or a paper towel on the bottom to help with humidity and just cut a small feeding...
Thank you! I filmed the process with my gopro but i've just been lagging on the video. I'd recommend hot gluing the black mesh to the sides so it doesn't slip and drop a bunch of dirt into the rocks(I learned the hard way)
12x12x12" would make an excellent bio viv, more room for bigger plants...
