Will Orchid Mantids eat lady bugs? I can't find any house flies to purchase around where I live at all. 

Will food left in there steps it out while trying to molt? Is it important then for them to be able to see out?  Thank you. 

Yeah definietly better. I don't want to say for sure but read up on carrots for feeder insects for your mantis. I though I saw something negative about it... Just a little honey on the tip of a blunted tooth pick or the like.  What language do you speak?

From everything I have been reading all over the forum is that you definitely need to feed your mantis more then just crickets, especially if they are only store bought and you don't take care of the crickets yourself. Honey is supplemental of you wish, or as a treat.  

Mantis  is very exploratory too. It hasn't stopped walking around its little home since it got in there. Mostly at the pot, is it saying it wants to hang out I wonder. I did have it on my hand for a bit. It made on to my shirt, cause my hand was on my lap, and half way up it before I put Mantis...

Thank you. So in a pinch I can use what's in the cuboard, but unfiltered natural honey is beneficially good for them.  And thank you for the pic.

From the information available on this and many sites common view of the mantis "wobble" is that it is ment to cause then to look like a leaf, or other debry, moving in the wind. Remember they are predators that rely on speed and stealth.

Did you know that out here in colorado there are many marajuana growers using Mantids for their pest control? I'm sure most of us know people all through time have been using predatory bugs as a form of natural pest control. But how many of us think about them using Mantids? I personally can't...

Just looking to learn more about honey and Mantises. Should I stay away from "normal" store bought honey? Is there something specific about honey I should we worried or at least aware of when feeding honey to my Orchid Mantis. Well still waiting for Peter to ship it. Tuesday can't approach fast...
