Who accidently shipped me an ooth from Citrus Heights California? It came in a green bottle cap with paper towels taped over It? I didn't order this (at least definitely not recently) so I have no idea which species. Looks to be the size and shape of an M. Binotata ooth(which I KNOW I wouldn't have ordered). Hmmmmm....

Lol I'm probably way off on the species. Also reminds me of S. Pretiosa. Strangeeeee. And ghost keeper, you should contact mantis monarch. He's a great quality breeder who almost always has M. Binotata available !

One more try...

I think you're right, it looks like a miomantis ooth to me, or a Stagmomantis Californica, S. Pretiosa ooths have the little part attached to whatever surface.

What do you mean the little part? I've shipped out 6 s. Pretiosa ooths and they're very similar. Honestly, I'm happy with whatever It turns out to be :) I'll be sure to post ID photos for the nymphs once they hatch. Thank you for the help ghost keeper!

Oh god.... Don't say that haha. I ordered a shipment of two brunners mantid adult females 2 1/2 months ago from a guy on the forum here. And he never replied after I sent payment. Took me 2 months to get a refund. I really hope this isn't from him. I wouldn't want a brunners ooth at The moment anyway.

I'm guessing it was the guy with the brunners females I tried to purchase. It was nice of him to try to make It up to me. I wish I had a way to thank him. Good courtesy

As others stated it is a Brunner's mantis (Brunneria borealis) ooth. I found a good picture of one to show below, photo credit to the original site Mantis Encyclopedia.

Looks like the guy went ahead and shipped the ooths to you. Guess he had a guilty conscious or felt it would make it right.

Sticky, it was Andrew Palmer. He used to be a member on the forum called "Avalon exotics". Terrible service at first, and no communication whatsoever after the payment was sent, but hey, at least he felt guilty and sent an ooth. I'd assume he's on the forum again going under a different name, because he's obviously still got ooths available. Maybe he's changed his ways, not trying to dog on him now.
