Hello, in case anybody sees this and lives close enough to Reading, PA and would be interested in raising baby Chinese mantis -- eggs meant for next June hatched due to record-breaking warmth a couple days ago. They'll die of starvation and cold. If anyone wants to drive here ASAP - snow tomorrow!

I have seen Chinese mantis hatchlings or nymphs in January here in North Carolina. Native Carolina mantis will not hatch until later like May, even when weather is warm.

Thanks for your response. Google maps says Brodheadsville is 1 hr 20min to 1 hr 30min from my location. Would you have been willing to come pick up one or more babies? I'm 99.9% sure it is too late. I posted 19 days ago and we had nights in the 20's since then. Before that I had been seeing them clinging to the window screens, but sadly not anymore.
