Anyone try feeding shedded exosketetons to mantises?

Has anyone tried to feed back their mantises shedded exoskeleton? I would imagine it would add calcium, minerals back to their system fast.

I've never seen a mantis eat its own exuviate. It might be coaxed into nibbling on it, but I doubt the nutritional value is worth the effort... unless you're really bored and just curious.

If you try, please share the results.

I have seen mine grab it when reaching for a fly and trying it,  but they usually drop it and go for the fly.
