Aussie beetles

these were on my porch a couple of months ago. the first is an australian stag beetle and the second is a fiddler beetle.

Phil, by my measurments on the pc screen, I would say about 2"!

I found these Beetles in my house near my CD Player and I believe they are European Beetles. They make funny noises. Here's a picture:

Hmmm.... that species looks much larger in size. Would probably take all day foraging just to feed them!

first is a bit over an inch in length nd the second is about half an inch.

i like the 'brushes' the stag has on his mandibles

What part of Australia are these found in? That stag is amazing and the fiddler has a face!

Pretty sure they should be all over the eastern coast. These were found in Sydney.
