Can you identify?

Friend sent this to me - it's originally posted on "Amazing World" I believe. Does anyone recognize the species? Thought maybe the Ghost family?

looks like an empusid. Maybe empusa pennata

It could be possible that there is no manipulation, but usually the colors are much fainter. They do have color morphs of green and purple though.

Here is another method for ID certain Empusa species, although it is easier by looking at the lobe.

Empusa sp. are from the Empusidae family, ghosts are from Hymenopodidae.

Yeah it was a while ago. Have it for a generation.

Nymphs hatching out in as little as 2 weeks.
