Carolina female rejecting male sperm?

I mated a female Carolina mantis today and I looked at her and she had her abdomen completely bent around (for a second I thought she was eating the male because I didn't realize he had jumped off!) but she was eating the sperm gift I assume? Or cleaning her abdomen? does that mean she rejected the mating? Maybe I mated her too early? She is a few days shy of being 2 weeks as an adult. Or do they usually eat the sperm thing the male gives them right away? I can't remember the term for the males gift thing right now sorry!

She's probably eating the spermatophore. That's not abnormal, and probably not much to worry about.
