Feeding when gone

If I'm leaving town for a week, can I just leave a couple of unhatched flies (my mantids are L4/L5 rn) in the enclosure while I'm gone or will they overeat if their is too many of them?

A week without food is fine for a healthy mantis. I say feed them heavily before you go, but also leave a few pupae in there. Hydration may be more of an issue.
