Hello, I recently found out that my Chinese mantis (T. sinensis) is more than likely a male. It may sound stupid or strange but I’ve grown very attached to him and he’s the first mantis I’ve ever had. Because of this I bought an adult female so he may mate and live on through his offspring since I know he doesn’t have much longer to live. I have never bred mantids and any advice or requirements would be extremely helpful. And will they still mate and produce an ootheca this time of year or is this a helpless task?
