Took this little cutie out to get pictures, and he was tightly pressing himself against the stick. I image he would say something like this, hehe.

Mantis "why did you feel the need to disturb my perfect camouflage to get a picture?"

Growing so fast! my nymphs are now starting to molt a second time, this little guy has molted 2 times. So his 3rd instar.

What an adorable little guy. Good to know that your Mantids are growing well. Good luck with your little fellers!

Update to my Giant Asian nymphs! Pics!!

Emerald is at her 7th instar, she is the biggest nymph. And there is quite a color variation in the nymphs from bright lime green, to darker green, to straw tan color, to yellowish with dark brown legs. They certainly are cute and varied in color! Does their color change by humidity like in Ghosts mantises?

Dusk the tan nymph has very yellow eyes, and quite dark legs. He has since molted from the picture though and has turned a yellowish green.

No one is quite certain what causes change in color, though it's probably a little bit of everything. My darkest brown nymph showed up in the warmest part of my room as did the most blinding green-yellow individual, but greens, yellow, and browns appeared in every spot I've got them (containers all around the room where temps and specific humidity vary a lot) and they can change color a bit from molt to molt, so it's all just rolling dice.

Congratulations on the molt! Good thing she kept her emerald color. She’s beautiful! Also, those are some pretty clear pictures for through the glass.

Thanks @River Dane! Yeah they are pretty clear pictures. Had to get just the right angle and distance so my camera would focus.  Which is always a challenge but thankfully I got some good pics.

Yeah I am super glad she kept her pretty emerald green color!
