Hello from South Carolina! My name is Cloud and I love animals, but my favorite groups are dinosaurs, lizards, and yes, mantids. My favorite mantis species in specific is Heterochaeta orientalis. As of October 16, 2017, I have 3 Carolina Mantis oothecas. I have owned Stagmomantis carolinaTenodera sinensisBrunneria borealis, and Hierodula majuscula. I won't lie, I don't have much luck with mantids. The longest I've had a mantis is four months, and that was with my Hierodula majuscula, Otulissa, but she died of molting problems. I am guessing that I am either going wrong with feeding, humidity, or ventilation. I am getting two L2 Phyllocrania paradoxa very soon and a mystery mantis, and I am hoping that they live longer.

Welcome to the forum. :)   If the mantids tend to die due to molting problems, it is quite possibly a humidity issue, such as enclosures that are too dry.  If they die for seemingly no reason, it could be caused by too much humidity breeding mold and bacteria.  Bad feeders are another option - either you have had bad luck with them, or they are being kept in conditions that lead to bacteria and illness among themselves before being eaten by your mantids.

I hope you are able to figure it out and have long-lived ghosts!

Welcome to the forum! @Ocelotbrenbasically covered the basics. Otherwise it seems like you got a nice collection! I have a brunners ooth that I'm incubating atm, super excited for them. Good luck with your ghosts! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
