you can buy mantises just about anywhere these days. I will be selling some soon
as for the second question, that depends on the species and the size of the tank

I was thinking of a 12x12x12 for a ghost mantis or and orchid mantis but I don’t know if thats too big

I was thinking of a 12x12x12 for a ghost mantis or and orchid mantis but I don’t know if thats too big
way too big IMO. maybe if you had Macromantis or Hierodula but there's also Odontomantis, who despite being diminutive need a LOT of space or they stress out and die! I have mating pairs of these cuties right now!
