I am going to the British Virgin Islands, More specifically Virgin Gorda, which is right off of Tortola. Does any one know of any mantid species native to these areas? For that matter does anyone know of any other interesting insect/arachnid/herp species native to the area? Any info would be awsome, I've had good luck with bringing home anoles, and hermit crabs from there before, so I Might be able to bring things home even. Thanks a lot--Josh Topp

I'm not sure what you can find, but if you have an extra ticket, I'll carry your bags for you

Hey Josh- I don't have a specific answer but the TERRA TYPICA Species database is a really good source on information about the distribution of specific species. Click on the link below or paste it into your browser, click on search, then when the next screen appears scroll to the bottom and click on "Show All" on the bottom left. Good luck.
