I've been losing a lot of beloved old mantids lately and its been saddening. So I wrote a poem about mantis heaven and I thought I would share it:
I hope you go to Mantis Heaven
Where there are female mantids 24-7
where there is a special mating place
and a special factory to replace an eaten face
Where you can meet species of all sorts
and play beetle bug hunting sports
where you can meet a pretty mantis shaped like a flower
and mate with her for hours and hours
The branches and leaves extend infinitely wide
Any and every place you could ever want to hide
An air space that lets you fly like never before
when you have angel wings you will soar
