So instead of doing it where I do exotic mantis's i am trying native ones. I want to start off with Chinese mantis,European and Carolina mantis. What advice can you get me about them? And what all do i need?

@Jessie Advice is the same as any species, read the caresheets - Chinese (Tenodera sinensis), European (Mantis religiosa), and Carolina (Stagmomantis carolina). Regarding what you need is again the same, that is appropriate size containers and feeders.

The only advice is even though they are native species does not mean they are a husbandry care breeze, like some incorrectly assume. With any previous mantid experience however they shouldn't be a problem. Have fun and best of luck with your new venture. :)

hy Jessie  I ''do'' the Tenoderas & Religiosa'  both are naturalized around here . The beauty of these is that they can be released and help populate the area . Tenodera have quite the personalities as well as being of a good size . Have fun........... S
