Hello everyone. My names Tommy. Im from Scotland but Im staying in Ireland at the moment. Got my first mantis which is a kenyan budwing mantis and also got a couple of spiders recently.  An Avicularia Avicularia and Albopolosum. Keeping bugs isnt really a thing where im staying now, iv always had an interest in predatory creepy crawlies and nature in general. Have other animals which I use for hunting. Got ferrets, lurchers, terriers and I do some falconry. Joined the site to have information at hand from more experienced keepers, to gain knowledge about mantis care from or just share an interest. Thanks for letting me join your site guys.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I had a wee nosey through the site earlier and so far so good. Plenty of realy good information. Il get pictures up over the next week of my mantis and the tarantula's for anyone that wants to have a look at them. The pink toe is a great wee character and good feeder but id say it would bite if I tried to handle her. It makes me jump sometimes Aristalochia but yeah they are cool spiders. Im on the look our another. Just need the one I have to molt first to find out what she is then get it a mate.

Cool, pink toe babies would be so fun. Mine was really tame I used to take mine everywhere with me on my shoulder, and it roamed my home freely. I wish you luck with breeding it!

Good to have another Scotsman! My great, great grandparents moved here to the US way back when, so I’m something of a Scotsman myself (someone will surely understand the reference 😆)

Anyway, welcome to the forum! There’s tons of awesome people here, who know the answer to literally every mantis question you could come up with!

Aristalochia I put a picture up in the arachnid section of the pink toe. Though Im going to have to buy a better camera me thinks. Thanks again everybody for the warm welcome.
