Had a little photoshoot with my girl :)  What a gorgeous little model.

@izbiggs Very nice looking nymph, and seems to love the camera. :D I'm curious you mean medioconstricta right (double shield mantis)? I have to ask as you said new camera - what did you get? ;)

I got the all new.... medioconstricta camera! :p

Just kidding... it was a spelling error on my part. The mantis is a medioconstricta! I actually got my first dSLR camera, a canon rebel x. Still messing around with it! I'm pretty excited so decided to post the first photos I took. I'll have to get a macro lens for it! :)

A 3-D camera with some huge lenses then, nice. :D

I just wanted to make sure, with some rather strange species showing up lately I thought it might have been something else. Sweet! Nothing like having a DSLR, and getting lost in all the options. If a macro lens is out of your budget you can cheat and use a reversing ring too (see here for basic information), I do that myself. :)

She’s adorable, and has lovely coloration! Yeah, hopefully she’ll keep it. I was once able to turn a green mantis white by putting her in a white habitat, but I’m not sure if it’ll work to retain pink.

The shoots are amazing, the camera really makes her pop out of the photo!
