Hello ladies and gentlemen of the mantid forum! I had some quick questions that I would love to have answered!

-what humidity are they best to be kept at (ghost ooth) keep mine at 50-80% let me know if that’s bad or good.

-keep mine at 86F at all time using a special ooth incubator I made with a thermostat

- How often should I mist?

i would love someone to answer these questions!

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was about to post something similar. I think my temp is around 75-80F. I just coco husk and sphagnum moss to hold humidity because of the semi open top....

This is the enclosure. A 16 oz with large holes in the top and a feeding port without the sponge so they can get out into the mesh cage that surrounds them. Take a look:

And the ooth. (I have a colony of two breeding pairs; decided to take the risk of continued cohabitation--very docile guys all.)

That's too humid for a ghost ooth. Take out the sphagnum moss.

Even with an open top? What humidity should I go for?

I just measured. The humidity is at 70% at the ooth. Is that too much?

Ghost ooths don't need more than a misting once or twice a day. They don't need super high humidity.
