Does anyone have any idea how to breed these guys while being as clean as possible? I've successfully bred green bottle flies with dog food and milk, but I don't like how the larvae won't accept the food until it starts to mold.

You can let some milk sour to soak a piece of bread in it and they will lay on it. Blue bottles need much more meat to do a good job of laying. They will probably lay, but I dont think they will do much of surviving on that diet. A lot of members try but it is hard and smelly.

i breed bottleflies in dog food

they need to eat protein as adults before they will mate and lay

black soldier flies and houseflies will deposit eggs directly into a diet made of wheat bran, yeast, and molasses water
